THE dIRECTION

I started from a single central idea: the connection between backgammon and the written culture of the Middle East. The triangular shapes of the game led me to explore the origins of the region's writing systems. From there, I worked with cuneiform, one of the earliest known forms of writing, to draw the two "T"s of Tawle and Time.

The characters were redrawn, simplified and refined to produce a logo that feels legible, graphic and contemporary.
