THE projeCt

CFQ is a social app designed to simplify the way friends organize plans together.

Today, coordinating a group hangout relies on fragmented exchanges across group chats, messages and missed infos, slowing down decision-making and diluting the original intent.

At a larger scale, social media encourages passive interactions, often disconnected from real life.

CFQ is built on a simple premise: using digital to make IRL meetups actually happen.

A first functional version is currently available on iOS & Android.

Jam

THE dIRECTION

The product was designed to turn intention ("so what are we doing?") into concrete action, as fast as possible.

The experience is built around two complementary mechanics:

CFQ (ephemeral, 24h) → lightweight discussions to capture real-time availability, bringing back spontaneity without social friction

TURN → structured events gathering all key information (date, location, attendees, messages) with quick-response prompts to accelerate decision-making

Every design and product decision maps to a specific lever:

  • Friction reduction → minimizing the steps needed to create or join an event
  • Centralization → keeping information in one place instead of scattered across tools
  • Strong temporality → nudging people to decide quickly rather than letting
  • conversations drag on
  • Immediate clarity → bold visual hierarchy so essential information is readable at a glance
  • Action-oriented design → prioritizing useful interactions (reply, organize, join) over passive consumption

The product approach consisted in prioritizing every feature based on its ability to trigger

a real-world action.

CFQ is designed as a coordination tool,

not a consumption platform.
